Friday and Saturday were the most beautiful days we’ve had in a long time! Although I had to work on Friday, I made sure to make the most of the post-work hours. Since I knew I had plans, I wanted to wear something fun that was still appropriate for work. My office is pretty casual on Fridays, so I decided to wear this fabulous floral midi dress, but I layered it over a white tee to make it a little more modest. I added my light denim jacket and espadrille sneakers which are some of my favorites transitioning to spring.
When I got out of work, my friend Kristin and I went to check out the Sunday Riley pop-up shop. It was one of those “only in NYC” experiences, complete with free samples, a candy bar, and a confetti shower. Sunday Riley is known for skincare, but they just came out with their first foundation. We had our shades matched by a makeup artist, and both thought that the foundation was super lightweight and had great coverage. I will definitely be checking it out!
After the pop-up, I met up with my two closest friends from my old job. I’ve been lucky to work with some really amazing people over the years, people I like so much that I want to see them outside of the office! Some of them are now among my best friends, and even though we don’t see each other every day anymore, we still make sure to schedule time together and keep tabs on each other’s lives. I’ve found that, as an adult, it’s really important to find people who truly care about you and support you, and value your friendship as much as you value theirs. It’s also helpful if they share your love of margaritas!
