Yesterday was National Wear Your Hair Curly Day! As a member of People StyleWatch Style Hunters, I was given the opportunity to test out a new curly hair product from Garnier Fructis. Curl Calm Down Cream is an anti-frizz cream with shea butter, and I have to say, it really did make my curls calm down. They were less frizzy, which was good, although they weren’t as tight as usual.
A little bit goes a long way with this product, and I will definitely make it a part of my rotation.

What do you use to tame your curls?
I still use the Tousle Me Softly by Herbal Essences when I want something really light weight. Although, lately I’ve been getting into using products without sulfates and without silicones, both of which tend to ruin curly hair! I’m all about the L’Oreal Ever Creme and Ever Sleek products. I used the L’Oreal Ever Cream “No shampoo conditioner” in my hair, and it was really moisturizing. Then I finished off the style by taking some EverSleek humidity defying leave-in creme and smoothed it over my curls. They weren’t quite as tight as usual, but were WAY less frizzy and smooth. Good post! I love learning more about how to care for my curls.

I’ve tried the L’Oreal Ever Sleek Shampoo, but I will definitely have to check out their other products. Thanks for sharing!
Since everyday is wear my hair curly day – except for those rare occasions like the time I decided to straighten it on Christmas – I typically go with Tresemme Curl Care Mousse. When I feel like treating myself to more high end products, I go with the Curly Sexy Hair Curl Cream and the C-System Shaping Serum. And on days when it is particularly humid or when I am traveling, I follow a trick once taught to me by a hairdresser at my favorite salon in Montreal – just use a little of your conditioner as curl cream. Works great and leaves your hair extremely soft.
Love the new blog Sam. Miss you!
Oh, that is a good trick! And, I will have to check out those products too. Thanks for the support, Em! Miss you too!
