Before I get to talking about maternity swimwear, a little background: A couple of months ago, I decided that I wanted to get myself in a pool before the baby came. I’ve heard great things about the feeling of weightlessness you can have while swimming, and as I got further along, that was more and more appealing. So, I looked for a hotel in NYC that had a pool and figured out a night we could do a little staycation. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that we went back and forth between indoor and outdoor pool until the last minute. The weather wasn’t looking great, so we eventually opted for indoor, and that was the right decision.
There’s actually a surprising amount of maternity swimwear out there, and I happen to think the bump looks fabulous in a bathing suit. I ordered this one-piece from H&M, and I LOVE how it fits. My cover-up is from H&M too, and both were super affordable. The lighting was a little weird by the pool, but I had to snap some pictures anyway! Unfortunately, the hotel itself was very underwhelming, and I don’t think we would stay there again. But, being in the pool was really nice and my body appreciated a break. We probably won’t make it to our favorite summer beach this year, so I might not put on a bathing suit again for quite a while.
