Purple has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. When I found this perfectly pleated skirt at LOFT a while back, I fell in love with the purple-blue color. No matter what I wear with it, this skirt always stands out. So, I paired it with a sequin sweater and went all matchy-matchy with this fantastic crossbody that was a major sample sale score.
Someone asked me the other day if there are informal ways to wear sequins, and the answer is definitely yes. If you find a basic piece like a sweater or a skirt, and avoid head-to-toe sparkle, it is totally possible to put together an understated sequined look. I could just as easily dress up a pair of jeans with this sweater and still sparkle.
