I’ve never been one to follow the rules about when it’s “okay” to wear white, so the fact that we haven’t quite made it to Memorial Day didn’t stop me from wearing my favorite white midi skirt. I found this beauty at a J.Crew sample sale a couple of years ago and it was such a good buy. The eyelash texture makes it such a beautiful piece (and prompts people to want to touch it!), and you know I love the midi length because it’s office appropriate. For this look, I decided to contrast the bright white with a colorful button down shirt. Because the skirt is fairly high-waisted, I knotted the shirt so it would highlight my waist. People kept telling me how springy I looked, which I take as a very high compliment!
Speaking of Memorial Day, I can’t believe it’s almost here. May has been a very long and difficult month for me at work because of the unexpected loss of our beloved President, and I’m hoping things get better once we’re into June and some time has passed. This weekend, I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with friends and celebrating my cousin’s graduation with family. It will otherwise be a pretty low-key MDW, and I’m totally okay with that! PS If you’re looking for a good read, check out the latest installment of Recent Reads for some recommendations!
