Spaghetti strap dresses are great for summer weekends, but what if you want to wear them during the week too? You can cover up with a cardigan or a blazer, or you can do some creative layering with a t-shirt. The last time I wore this floral midi dress, I wore it over a plain white tee, but this time around, I wore a tie-front tee over it. It’s a totally different look, and you probably wouldn’t know that it’s a dress if I hadn’t told you, which is why it’s so fun to find ways to make your wardrobe more versatile.
After work last week, I met my friend Mackenzie for drinks in the West Village. Our first stop was While We Were Young, which was just as gorgeous as it looks in everyone’s Instagrams. The drinks were beautiful, and tasty too! Next up was The Happiest Hour, a cute spot with some serious California vibes. Their cocktail recipes are definitely unique, so it’s the perfect place to try something new. We also ordered the salt & pepper broccoli (with ranch!) and the tots, and both were really good! In between, we stumbled upon this adorable garden, which was the perfect spot to capture this look. It’s really easy to stick to my routine and stay in the neighborhoods I’m used to, but I need to remember how much this city has to offer if you’re willing to explore. Happy Tuesday!
