How to Build the Perfect Outfit

One of my favorite things about being a style blogger is putting together outfits. I’ve always loved getting dressed, and this blog has forced me to be more creative and think outside the box. When I buy new things, especially pricier pieces, I try to go for something versatile. As I shop, I imagine what I already own that could go with this new piece, and how many different ways I can wear it. If you start with a strong foundation, like a great dress, building the perfect outfit will be easy.

So, when ModCloth asked me to build an ensemble around their Lead by Example Dress, I was excited to put my styling skills to the test. Instead of focusing on a single outfit, I put together a bunch of options that can be mixed and matched. A beautiful blue sheath dress like this can easily be worn with neutrals or other colors, dressed up or dressed down. How would you wear it?
