I’m generally a very frugal shopper. The majority of the products I share here are very budget-friendly. I like nice things, but I prefer to spend smartly and I rarely splurge. But, ever since one of my favorite fashion bloggers came out with the most beautiful dress collection earlier this year, I’ve had trouble resisting. Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam is a classic beauty with impeccable style. She always looks perfectly put-together, and yet she comes across as totally down to Earth. Her husband Thomas is her business partner, and supports everything she does. The Gal Meets Glam Collection is a true reflection of Julia’s feminine style and vision. New dresses are released every month on the GMG website and at Nordstrom, and I always end up falling in love with at least one of them. I wore my first one to a wedding over the summer, and the gorgeous raspberry number in this post is my second.
Last week, I had the opportunity to shoot with The Laurel Creative Team. Lauren, the owner of the company, is a well-respected photographer in the blogging world and I was so excited to work with them. Although it was a chilly day, I knew I wanted to have a professional capture this dress. It’s so flattering and perfect for twirling! Although it’s literally buttoned-up, it still looks fresh and modern. I got so many compliments when I went to work after the shoot, and I was smiling all day! What do you splurge on?
