Every year, I have the same 4th of July outfit dilemma: I don’t own anything red! While, I want to be festive and patriotic, I don’t necessarily want to go out and buy something new for this one day. So, I usually opt for blue and white and incorporate red in my makeup and accessories. A bright red lip and a red hair tie were easy additions to this look. One of the best ways to make the most of the pieces in your closet, whether their from the sale rack or not, is to repurpose them in creative ways. This “top” is actually a dress, and the skirt is part of a matching set, but I thought they went well together this way too.
We don’t have any big plans for the 4th, except for hopefully getting out of the city for a little bit, and that’s fine by me. Let’s cross our fingers for good weather though. This weekend, Mother Nature was totally confused. Case in point: overcast all day until we went to take these pictures, then the sun came out. Therefore, this was the only picture where I was looking at the camera and not completely squinting. #bloggerproblems
