Every summer, my husband’s law firm hosts a cocktail reception at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). It’s one of only a couple of events that spouses get invited to, and I always look forward to meeting the people he’s always talking about from work. On the night of last year’s event, it was super hot and no one wanted to go outside. Thankfully, this year was gorgeous and we got to explore the garden. Although I was tempted to wear a dress, I decided to dress up my white jeans with a colorful floral cami and a pair of block heel sandals. I love the contrast of the dark green and the white, and although I often have trouble with peplum tops as a pear, this one hits at just the right spot to accentuate my waist.
In case you were wondering, I’m wearing this bandeau from Nordstrom Rack under my cami. I also wore it under the off the shoulder dress in Monday’s post, and definitely recommend it as your go-to for summer.
Earrings: Chloe + Isabel, Necklace: Kate Spade (similar), Cami: LOFT, Jeans: LOFT, Sandals: Carmen Marc Valvo via DSW (also love these), Bag: Old Navy (similar)
I agree – green really pops against the white jeans! Love the photos! xx Rox-Anne, Celebratingthislife.ca
