On Saturday night, we had plans to go out to dinner and a drink. I put on a few different outfits before I decided what to wear. I wanted to wear something fun, and I realized how often I think about feeling confident and beautiful in what I wear, but not necessarily feeling sexy. For some reason, I feel like “sexy” has a certain connotation in our society. There’s this assumption that a woman who dresses in a way that shows off her body is asking for attention. But, I wanted to wear something bright and bold (and yes, a little revealing), a little bit for Rob, but mostly for myself…because I’m proud of my body. And frankly, it was hot as **** this weekend and I wanted to wear something that kept me cool and felt good!
So anyway, I love this set and the way that it fits and moves. I wore it with delicate jewelry and a comfy pair of sandals, which complimented the bright red. We snapped these pictures outside of Gramercy Park before heading to dinner. It’s such a beautiful area of the city that I definitely need to spend more time in! We’ve been trying to leave our neighborhood more on the weekends and try new restaurants and bars. I know we won’t live in New York City forever, so we might as well make the most of it while we’re here. That said, this weekend, we’re heading out East with friends, and I’m so looking forward to being by the ocean. Really hoping this week speeds by!
