Gingham Jumpsuit

Last weekend, I spent the second half of Saturday in Queens celebrating with friends who are expecting their first child later this year! They had a little get-together at their apartment, and then we headed to the Queens Night Market for the evening. The market is held in an open area next to the Queens Planetarium, and features more than 60 food and art vendors from around the world. There’s incredible variety when it comes to food options, and it’s fun to sample a few things from different countries. It was a hot night, so I wore this gingham jumpsuit that I found on sale at Bloomie’s last month. For a while, I wasn’t sure that I could wear a wide leg as a petite woman, but I’ve found that it’s actually pretty flattering as long as it’s the right length and not too voluminous. For a jumpsuit, a defined waist helps too.

Now that I’ve shared about last weekend, another weekend is almost here! We have dinner reservations on Saturday at a place we’ve been wanting to try, and Sunday afternoon, I’m headed to a fun event with a friend. Temperatures are supposed to get near 100 though, so otherwise we’ll probably be inside enjoying our AC. Also, a quick thank you for all of the amazing feedback on yesterday’s post.
