The past few days have been hard…anxiety-filled and not enough sleep. No matter your political leanings, you can’t deny that our country as we know it is going to change. Although fashion may seem trivial at a time like this, it’s a way that many people express themselves (Hillary Clinton included), and it can also be a way to escape. So let’s talk about faux leather leggings, a staple throughout the holiday season. They’re probably as comfortable as (faux) leather pants get, yet still fitted and flattering. This pair pulls on and comes in a petite length, which is great for those of us on the shorter side. They’re a little much for the office on their own, so I paired them with a sweater dress and a vest. Flat shoes with a nod to menswear kept the look from being too sexy for work.
I definitely think that leggings can be worn as pants if done right, especially if they have more to them like this pair. The key is to wear something long that covers your butt and dresses up your outfit. P.S. In case you missed it, I shared my first holiday gift guide yesterday! It’s full of marble pieces that are perfect for your holiday hostess. They may look expensive, but they’re totally affordable.
