Midi skirts (or dresses) and boots are great for early Fall work wear, but some days you just feel like wearing pants. I’m trying to branch out from black pants, and I was excited to find this gray pinstriped pair among the markdowns during the last Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They have an elastic waist, and I love the stripe down the side. Pro tip for my petite ladies: Vertical stripes on pants are a great way to elongate your legs!
I wore these fabulous pants with a ribbed sweater and my favorite suede moto jacket. The jacket was a great pop of color for an otherwise neutral outfit. I thought about tucking in the sweater, but real talk…I’m not 100% happy with how my stomach looks right now, so I folded it under instead. It can be frustrating to get dressed when you’re not totally loving your body. Layering helps camouflage the parts that are making you self-conscious, and helps you focus on the parts that look great. I wore a jacket over a sweater on Friday night too…and then I didn’t put on makeup or real clothes the whole rest of the weekend. After a busy few weeks, I think it was exactly what I needed!
