We’ve been having a little bit of a heatwave in NYC with lots of summer storms. So, I thought it was a good time to share an easy outfit for hot days. While I’m all for throwing on a dress, sometimes you want to be wearing a little less clothing. These drawstring shorts have been clutch for me lately. I like that they’re more comfortable for the bump than ones with a waistband, but they still look like denim. They’re non-maternity, and I just sized up. Also, such a fan of this gauzy embroidered top. It’s one of a few recent finds from Old Navy that are perfect for summer! Then just add a little visual interest to a simple outfit with a hair accessory and/or a cute pair of shoes.
Today is Rob’s birthday, and as usual he doesn’t really want anything. But, I have a couple of surprises up my sleeve, and we’re celebrating with friends over the weekend. This summer marks 16 years since we met, and in September we’ll celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! We’ve been through a lot together, and while I’m excited for baby boy to be a part of our family, I’m a little sad that our time just the two of us is ending. I’m so grateful for Rob’s support, especially over the past nine months, and I know he’ll be an incredible dad! PS scroll down for a side view of the bump!
