Hi, it’s me…just casually leaning on the fence of a house I later learned is currently on the market for $22 million! I feel like I should have been wearing something fancier, but this navy striped cardigan definitely does dress up a pair of jeans. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Alex Mill’s quality, so I ordered this cardigan during a sale. It’s such a classic color combination and silhouette. I really do think it looks nicer than similar sweaters. Some people think that you shouldn’t wear horizontal stripes if you’re curvy, but I’ve never subscribed to that generalization. The length of this sweater, and the spacing of the stripes works for my shape. It also helps that it has a solid band at the bottom. Don’t rule anything out until you give it a try!
We had a friend visit on Saturday, and otherwise had a pretty low-key weekend. Seth and I spent a lot of time together, and it was so nice. He tried yogurt for the first time, and he’s learning to feed himself. He’s also getting better at rolling from his stomach to his back, and even scooting a little on his stomach. We are incredibly lucky that he’s such a happy baby, and I actually really like this stage. I’m constantly amazed by my love for him, and the power of his smiles to brighten up my day.
Next weekend, we’re spending a few days outside the city. We’re renting a house and have very few plans, which I’m really looking forward to. We’ve spent a lot of time in our apartment and our neighborhood the past couple of years. While there’s a lot I love about it, I also really appreciate a change of scenery. Hope your week is off to a great start, and Happy Valentine’s Day!
