On Saturday night, we had our close friends over to celebrate my husband’s birthday. His actual birthday was last Tuesday, but he was at work until 10 pm. As a corporate lawyer in his first year at a big firm, late nights are pretty common. In all honesty, it’s been hard for me at times, but I’m so proud of him and incredibly grateful that he works so hard to provide for us!
Since we were having a party at our apartment instead of going out, I didn’t want to dress up too much…but I really wanted to wear this black eyelet dress. So, I added my denim vest, and opted for a pair of casual flats to tone down the fanciness level a little bit. My Kate Spade pouch was a must, since cake is an absolute necessity at any birthday gathering. Although we didn’t eat any for breakfast yet, we do have some mini cupcakes left over!
