One of the ways I motivate myself to work out is making sure I have cute clothes to wear. Ever since I started going to new classes, I’ve been searching for some additions to my wardrobe. But, I was shocked to see how pricey things have gotten. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t the only one looking for affordable activewear, so I ran a little poll on Instagram Stories. 87% of people said they want to pay $100 or less per piece. 81% don’t care if their top and bottom match. When I asked about quality over quantity, it was a little closer, with 65% in favor of quality. Fortunately, I found a few places with options that won’t break the bank.
Target is one of them, and I love their JoyLab line! Everything I’m wearing in this post (except the sneakers) is JoyLab, and under $40. Aerie and Old Navy also have some great options too, and I’ll be sharing some dressing room snapshots on Instagram.
A little honesty: It took a lot for me to pose in just the sports bra and pants (and not just because it was freezing). I’ve never felt like I could be one of those people who worked out without a shirt. Has anyone else ever felt this way? Quite honestly, I had the sports bra and pants for a while, but I didn’t want to wear them until I was felt like I could pull it off. Was I totally comfortable? No. But, I look pretty good! I need to work on giving myself more credit, and I bet you do too.
