I’m actually starting to get excited about fall, and I fully intended to snap some outfit photos this weekend. But, I ended up not feeling well and didn’t put on real clothes…so here we are. That said, I love this set of photos that we snapped on our last night in Maine! It was golden hour at one of our favorite waterfront restaurants, and I was so happy and relaxed. One of the things I try to emphasize here is that everyone should feel empowered to wear what makes them feel good. I’ve been wearing a lot of midi and maxi dresses in recent years, but when I look at these photos (and these), I want to wear more mini dresses! I almost didn’t order this dress during my middle of the night online shopping spree when the Target Designer Dress Collection launched, but I’m so glad I went for it! Although this is a very springy/summery pattern, I think it would look really cute with a leather jacket and booties too. I also found a couple of affordable similar options in fall florals if you want to add a mini dress to your wardrobe! (scroll down for links)
On a separate note, I have to say thank you SO much for the outpouring of support in response to last week’s post. I heard from so many friends, acquaintances and strangers, people who have kids, never want them, or are unsure like me. I was overwhelmed with emotion as I read the stories people shared, and it just confirmed that everyone’s journey is different and everyone’s feelings are valid.
