Velvet Bodysuit

Sharing another outfit from my Central Park shoot with Allie! The leaves were absolutely gorgeous, and we got so lucky when we found Bow Bridge nearly empty. This is such an iconic New York City spot and it was a dream to shoot here! The outfit I’m wearing is a pretty adventurous one for me. It includes my first bodysuit, and a pattern I never thought I would wear. I tried both of these pieces on at J.Crew and shared them on my Instagram story about a month ago. The bodysuit made it home with me that day, but the pants didn’t. After a surprisingly positive response to an Instagram poll about them, I ended up ordering them later the same week. And, I have to say, I felt pretty damn good in this outfit!

Bodysuits may seem weird (yes, they do snap in the crotch), but they are the answer to all of your prayers about tucking in your shirts. This velvet one is so luxurious and I love the flattering scoopneck. I was a little worried that wearing velvet booties would be too much velvet, but when I asked Allie, she assured me there was no such thing. What do you think of this look?
