One of my favorite things about Valentine’s Day is the chocolate, so when thebar.com asked me to make a Valentine’s Day cocktail with Godiva’s chocolate liqueur, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! Whiskey and beer are my husband’s go-to drinks, but I think even he would enjoy the sweet combination I put together.
Since chocolate is usually part of dessert, I decided to create an after-dinner drink that would be the perfect end to a romantic Valentine’s Day. And, since chocolate and caramel are pretty much a match made in Heaven, I chose two caramel ingredients to compliment the Godiva liqueur.
Making this drink is super easy. Just combine Smirnoff’s Caramel Kiss vodka with Godiva milk chocolate liqueur and milk.
Stir these ingredients together and then shave some chocolate on top. You can totally choose your favorite, but I highly recommend keeping with the caramel theme. I used Godiva’s milk chocolate salted caramel and it really brought everything together.
Whoever you’re spending Valentine’s Day with this year, I hope you toast to love (romantic or otherwise). If all else fails…more chocolate!
Caramel Chocolate Cocktail
1 oz Godiva milk chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz Smirnoff Kissed Caramel vodka
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 square of chocolate (Godiva milk chocolate salted caramel was used here)
Combine chocolate liqueur and vodka in a glass. Add milk and stir. Grate chocolate on top & enjoy!
