One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my post-college years is that it doesn’t necessarily matter how long you’ve known someone, it’s about the connection. Some of my closest friends are people I’ve only known for a few years, but I feel like I’ve known them forever. One of those people is my bestie Elena, so when she asked if a few of us would join her on the Arthritis Foundation Walk, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. The pup and I headed downtown on Saturday to walk three miles and got to see the city from the Brooklyn Bridge. It was an amazing New York experience for a very worthy cause!
After the walk, as we wandered around looking for somewhere to have brunch, we stumbled upon a bulldog rescue fundraiser. So many bulldogs and frenchies…it was crazy! But, pup was happy to see some four-legged friends after walking with thousands of humans, and we got some great giveaways too. Later that day, after a fantastic nap, it was time to meet up with my cousins for dinner. I was still exhausted, so I went with casual neutrals. This vest is definitely outside my comfort zone, but I love how lightweight it is and can’t beat those safari vibes 😉
