Tweed is usually structured and often a little stuffy, so I was excited to find this cozy tweed skirt on sale at LOFT a few weeks ago. It has an elastic waist, so it would be perfect for Thanskgiving :), and the flippy A-line is a flattering shape. I’m 5’4″ and I’m wearing a petite L, and I will say that it’s a little shorter than I originally thought. But paired with a ruffly plaid shirt and booties, it was still a great fall work outfit.
We have pretty much no plans this weekend, and I’m actually really excited! Next week, we head out to my mom’s for Thanksgiving, and I can’t wait for some quality family time and a break from the city. The area where I work is right between Penn Station and Port Authority, and it’s always crazy busy. It’s also not the nicest, so finding places to shoot outfit photos is a bit of a challenge. My friend Dena and I stumbled upon this cute green doorway that we’ve probably walked by a million times. It reminded us of Sesame Street…if Sesame Street were in a different part of town!
