When I saw this turtleneck sweater dress on Instagram in a try-on haul from Affordable by Amanda, I immediately went to check it out. In normal life, I usually prefer dresses with more shape. But this year, like everyone else, I’m prioritizing cozy, soft and comfortable. This dress fits the bill, and I think the fair isle design on the top and bottom actually gives it some more definition. Unfortunately, sizes are limited, but I linked to a few other options below. It wasn’t too cold when we shot these, but you could easily add tights or tall boots when temperatures drop.
Last week, I had a few days off work, which was really nice. I went for a walk one day to pick up some books, but otherwise took it easy. We had a Zoom game night with some friends on Christmas Eve, and chatted with my in-laws on Christmas, which we usually spend at their apartment. Of course, we also had the traditional Jewish Christmas meal: Chinese food.
I can’t believe 2020 is finally coming to an end this week. I know things aren’t going to get better as soon as we flip the calendar, but I’m optimistic that we’re on the right path. Thank you to everyone who changed their holiday plans to keep their loved ones safe. It sucks right now, but it’s what we need to do to have much more time together long-term.
