Maybe it’s just New York City, but it seems like people think it’s easier to be grumpy and pessimistic. Sometimes I feel like everyone just assumes the worst in people and focuses on the worst case scenario. I’m really trying to combat that attitude and concentrate on the positive things in life. It doesn’t always come naturally, but summer sunshine certainly makes it easier. So do fun pieces like this lightweight sweater. On top of simple stripes, a colorful pair of sunglasses is the perfect reminder to look on the sunny side!

Those shoes – OMG. I love the silver! And that shirt is too cute with the sunnies!

Thanks, Maggie!
I totally just ordered the sweater. It’s on sale AND there is a promo code… $20! And maybe I’ll steal your style since I also have those earrings
Yes, TWINS!
It can be hard to be positive when surrounded by negativity etc. When I lived in a big city, London, I definitely noticed my attitude and ways of life were of the negative variety. I’m out of the hustle and bustle now, leaving in the Welsh countryside, and definitely feel a lot ‘lighter’. Sunshine helps everything!
Also, you can never go wrong with stripes in my opinion! I own far too many!

Thanks for your thoughts, Jade! The city can be overwhelming at times. It helps to get away every so often, and fortunately, I’m doing just that this weekend.
