My office has been freezing lately, and the lightweight cardigan I keep on my chair just hasn’t been cutting it. So, yesterday I pulled out a cozy poncho and layered it over chambray with some classic black pants. The truth is that a poncho is definitely not the most flattering item of clothing, no matter what size and shape you are, but it will keep you warm. I love that this one has just a touch of gray.
As I mentioned in Tuesday’s post, I’m trying to take better care of my feet. I’ve never been a heels for every day person, only when I really dress up, and I love a good pair of flats. These loafers are super cute and comfortable, and they have a solid sole with great traction.
Now, I’m looking forward to a weekend without too many plans. On Sunday, I’m having brunch with some of the girls from work. I’ve only been at this job since September, but I feel like I was welcomed warmly from the start. It’s so nice to be with people who work hard, but also know how to have fun. I am especially grateful for my “work wife” Ally, who agreed to go outside for five minutes and snap these pictures in the frigid, windy weather…after I stood by her desk for an extended period of time smiling awkwardly at her She’s the best!

I love this look – & those shoes are so cute while also being totally practical!
