Every time I get a J.Crew catalog in the mail, I go through and fold down the pages of items and outfits I really like. I honestly think that a lot of their stuff is overpriced, but if you’re patient and willing to shop online, you can get a great deal. Case in point: this striped midi skirt that’s been on my wish list for months. I saved it to Rack It Up, a fantastic site that sends you an email notification when an item you want goes on sale, and finally made it mine when I was comfortable with the price. This outfit is inspired by a catalog look, but with my own twist, and it was perfect for a friend’s birthday brunch over the weekend. FYI The skirt’s still on sale, and I’m totally cool with being twinsies!
