You know that line in Mean Girls when Regina’s been eating the Calteen bars and she says, “sweatpants are all that fit me right now!”? We’re not quite there yet, but they’re definitely the most comfortable right now! So, I decided I wanted a pair of spring sweatpants that weren’t quite as heavy. I love the floral pattern on these, and they have the cutest ruffled waist. A white tee, denim jacket, and some accessories pull the outfit together. These sweatpants are non-maternity, so I just sized up in the petite length.
This post is going up today instead of yesterday because this weekend was so busy! We did so much baby stuff, and it was great, but there wasn’t time for much else. We had baby’s dresser/changing table put together, and my nesting instinct has definitely kicked in. We also started watching our labor and delivery course!
A little gestational diabetes update: despite my best efforts with my diet, my medical team decided that I needed to start taking insulin. The placenta is keeping me from getting acceptable fasting blood sugar levels, which is why insulin is necessary. It means a shot at night before bed, which is five needles a day. I won’t lie, it’s hard. I cried the first couple of nights, but Rob has been a huge help. I just keep reminding myself that it’s only temporary, and I’m already at 33 weeks. I’m going to the doctor weekly now to check on the baby, and yesterday we got a good report, so fingers crossed that continues!
