Spring weather can be a little fickle. One day it’s cool and rainy, and the next it’s warm and sunny. To cope with Mother Nature’s moods, you need three kinds of coats to cover your spring wardrobe.
- First, a denim jacket (or vest) that will go with everything. If you’re not into denim on denim (and you wear a lot of jeans), look for something white or pastel.
- Second, a classic trench coat that can dress up any outfit. For spring, I recommend a classic camel color, but feel free to look for something with a little personality (like the dotted option above). A belted trench will pull your look together and define your waist.
- Third, a casual coat that makes an easy lightweight layer. Look for a jacket with an easy fit in a breathable fabric. Big pockets and rollable sleeves are a nice bonus.

Last week, I finally packed up all of my winter coats … the day before it dropped back down to 20 degrees!!! Fickle is an understatement. Ready to wear everything you picked out!

Skirt The Rules
So annoying! I refuse to put my puffy coat on again, but it’s been too chilly for spring jackets. Hopefully soon Mother Nature will stop being so indecisive 🙂 xo
