Spring Dress, Winter Sweater

I pulled this dress out of the back of my closet last week when I had the idea to pair it with a long cardigan. Although the light fabric and flowery print are more Spring-like, tights and boots made it work for the colder temperatures. I love the look of the feminine ruffles of the dress contrasted with my military-style boots! The sweater’s belt gave my waist a little definition too.

This dress is a few years old, but I’m pretty sure I remember picking it up in the Junior’s department. A great thing about being petite is that Junior dresses are usually still a good length. As long as you’re careful to find an age appropriate pattern or color scheme, and flattering style, it can really expand your options.

    • Thanks so much, Rachel! It’s a great sweater. Long cardigans are underrated!
