There are the traditional fashion rules, like don’t wear white after Labor Day, and don’t mix plaids and stripes, but I think there are some others that need to make their way into the mainstream. Here are some of my fashion rules. If you like them, please feel free to share! I posted graphics of these rules on a new page of this blog (with embed code), and I’ll be pinning them on Pinterest today. I call this Part 1 because there will certainly be more rules to come.
- If it’s warm enough for short shorts and mini skirts, it’s too warm for Uggs.
- Size is just a number. How something fits, and how it makes you feel is much more important.
- If you haven’t worn something in a year, you probably never will.
- Pajamas are not outside clothes.
- Undergarments are called that for a reason.
I like the “size is just a number….” rule. Just wear what fits, and it will look 100x better than trying to squeeze into something with a tag size that you’re “okay with”.
Totally agree! It’s easier said than done, but it’s better for us in the long run if we stop focusing on numbers. Thanks for commenting!
