One of the best ways to find designer pieces at a discount is to shop sample sales. This is obviously easier if you live in New York City like I do, but it’s definitely worth checking out the schedule, even if you’re just coming in for a visit.
This dress is from the Club Monaco Sample Sale, which just so happened to take place in my office building. I love the pattern, and the subtle scallops at the hem. Although it’s a shift dress, simply adding a belt helped define my shape. I was inspired by Friday’s round-up to rework my (faux) leather leggings, and because it was especially cold on Saturday, my legs were much warmer than they would have been in tights. This dress started at $200, and I believe I paid around $50. Check out my tips for shopping a sample sale, and visit the SRS Toolbox for more insight!
