Red and Black

Since I don’t celebrate Christmas, wearing red and green together isn’t really my thing. But, I love red and black. The vibrancy of the red is balanced out perfectly by the dark neutral. And black doesn’t have to be boring. The last time I wore this skirt was also with black sweater, but it had sheer, polka dot sleeves. I love this off-the-shoulder style too!

Lauren and I shot these photos outside the iconic Cartier store on Fifth Avenue. I’ve seen people post pictures in this spot during the holidays for years, so I decided to finally check it out for myself. It’s a crowded corner, and as you can see, delivery trucks and bikes don’t care if you’re trying to get the shot. But, the lights are beautiful and it’s such a classy, festive vibe.

This weekend was fun and exhausting. Friday night, I stopped by a friend’s holiday party, and Saturday night, Rob and I went out for dinner and a drink. It was so nice to get out! Seth and I spent a lot of time together during both days since Rob had a lot of work to do. He has a little cough/cold that he shared with me, so we were both a little fussy. I love hanging out with my little man, but as I finally get to writing this post on Sunday night, I’m drained. I’m still figuring out how to make sure I’m “pouring from a full cup,” as they say.
