Party Pants

It’s December, and the holiday season is here! If your social calendar is filling up, but you don’t know what to wear, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to my upcoming posts. Today’s look is perfect for when you want to dress up, without wearing a dress. I call these lace pants my party pants because they take any outfit up a notch! Here I styled them with a fun gold bodysuit and a pair of fancy flats. As far as I’m concerned, the holidays are the perfect time to be a little extra. Bring out the sparkle, and don’t worry about being overdressed! If you’re in NYC, the high-end stores on Fifth Avenue in the 50s are always beautifully decorated at this time of year. Definitely worth checking out!

Speaking of holidays, Thanksgiving weekend was a lot of fun! We spent a few days at my mom’s on Long Island, and she and I cooked the big meal together. My in-laws joined us, and although we were a small group, it was so nice to be together. I came back to the city for a friend’s baby shower on Saturday, and got to spend time with a couple of close friends who moved to DC. Next week, I’m heading to Chicago for a work conference, so things will be a little crazy. But, I’m looking forward to being with a community that means a lot to me, and catching up with so many people from different times in my life. Hope your week is off to a great start!
