Shopping for swimsuits can be super stressful, especially if you have curves. Personally, I don’t always feel comfortable in a bikini, so I like to pack at least one one-piece in my vacation suitcase. Now, you make think one-pieces are boring, matronly, or just as clingy and unflattering as bikinis…but you’re wrong! There are A TON of cute one-piece suits out there, you just have to know what to look for and where to look.
For my fellow curvy girls, a few shopping tips: look for details like ruching, wrap-style (like a wrap dress), belts/ties, and side panels. These will all whittle your middle and make the skin-tight swimsuit fabric a little more forgiving. Details up top, like ruffles or a keyhole, will draw the eye up, and they’re just the right combination of sexy and pretty. Halter and bandeau necklines are flattering on most people, and the great thing about bandeaus is that they usually come with the option of a strap. These six suits (all under $100) are just an example of the options out there. If you’re looking for lots of affordable choices in one place, definitely check out Target’s selection!

The Style Scribe
I only wear one piece suits, ideally with lots of coverage and support up top… if only I could find one.
