There are certain things you don’t really do in New York City unless you have out of town visitors: climb to the top of the Empire State Building, endure Times Square, or go on a harbor cruise, to name a few. But, when Xperience Days contacted me and presented me with the opportunity to explore my city more than I usually would, I was excited to play tourist for a day.Xperience Days, as you may have guessed, is a website that specializes in unique experiences. If you’re someone who doesn’t like giving tangible items or money as gifts, you should definitely check out their selection. Experiences are available across the country, and range from cooking classes, to hot air balloon rides, to race car driving and glass blowing. You can sort the by location, category, occasion or recipient. The hardest part is deciding what to do!
Last weekend, my husband and I took an hour and a half cruise around New York Harbor. It was a gorgeous day, and there was a lovely breeze off the water. The boat (seen below), sailed from Chelsea Piers, and did a loop of the Harbor and lower Manhattan, including passing by the Statue of Liberty. The scenery was fabulous, and I took a ton of pictures, which you can see here. I had to go a little nautical with my outfit, and broke out the striped shorts. My denim jacket was the perfect layer for being on the water.
The windblown hair is totally intentional! Also, loved the complimentary glass of wine!

Disclosure: Xperience Days provided this experience for me and my husband at no cost, but all opinions are my own. New York really is pretty from the water!
What a fun thing to do! I’m terrified of boats but have been hoping to try to overcome that fear by trying something like this now that we live so close to the city. And I LOVE that pic of you looking out over the water.
Such an exciting opportunity! You looked so cute!
