The 4th of July was a lot of fun! We went to two barbecues in two boroughs, and saw fireworks from the subway platform in Queens. I wore a cute little blue and white striped dress from H&M, which was lightweight and comfortable in the heat. For My Friday’s Fancies, I decided to style an outfit around a simple white eyelet dress. It’s so pretty and feminine, and I absolutely love the pearl buttons! If you don’t want to go crazy with a color scheme as your main outfit piece, try wearing something neutral and using accessories to incorporate the colors.
{Blue Crossbody: ModCloth; Red wedges: KORS Michael Kors via Nordstrom; White eyelet dress: Ruche; Heart flag earrings: Urban Outfitters; Blue bangle: Banana Republic; Silver bangle: Bauble Bar}
What did you do for the 4th of July? More importantly, what did you wear?! Be sure to check out all of the red, white and blue over at {long distance loving}. Happy Friday!

Thanks, Stacie! It was a lot of fun! City living does have its perks, but I miss the open space sometimes too 🙂
I love that blue purse and the button detail on the dress, so cute!
Thanks, Meg! Both pieces have such great details!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! And what a cute inspiration board… my faves are the red wedges. <3
