I used to wear a watch every day, but somewhere along the line I stopped. I honestly can’t remember why, but I think it was when I got more into fashion and was extra concerned about everything matching. Although I’m not as particular anymore, I still prefer neutral accessories that will go with as many outfits as possible. When it comes to a statement watch, I believe it should be bold, but still versatile. This can be a tough balance to find, so when Jord reached out to me about styling one of their wood watches, I was excited to check out their selection.
Jord (pronounced Yode) is a small company based out of St. Louis, with a focus on creativity and sustainability. They carry a wide variety of wood and leather watches (and Apple Watch bands), and much of their selection is under $300. Most watches can be customized and engraved, and they offer free worldwide shipping. Every watch comes with a one year warranty and options for return and exchange, and there are tons of options in terms of color and watch face.
I chose the Frankie watch in Ebony and Gold, and I love the dimensionality of the wood. One of the great things about Jord is that you can find out more about the materials used to create each watch. The ebony wood for my watch comes from Mozambique in East Africa. It has a “high saturation of color and a natural glossy sheen,” and hints of brown and black tones, so it went well with the gray, black and denim of this outfit. I can see wearing this watch with dressier outfits too, and it will definitely be a regular part of my wardrobe!
I’m very excited to share that Jord is partnering with me on a giveaway! One of you will win $100 towards a Jord watch of your own! Everyone who enters will receive a 10% off code! Follow this link to enter, and be sure to check out #JordWatch for more inspiration!
