If you’re still on the fence about mixing patterns, start with black and white. My favorite combinations are stripes and floral, and polka dots with anything. This windowpane print shirt was definitely one of my best Forever 21 finds ever. It’s long and blousy, so if I want a more fitted look, I either tuck it in or knot it like I did here. Long sleeves balance out short shorts, and keep you warm on cooler spring days.
Remember when I told you about the incredible deal I got at the Kate Spade Outlet on Mother’s Day? This is the bag! A perfect little black crossbody with subtle dots…and I paid $35! My mom ended up getting one too. It was just too good of a deal to pass up! Speaking of, it’s impossible to find another Kate Spade bag at a similar price point online. Your best bet is to check out your closest outlet store, or download the Poshmark app and troll the Kate Spade section like I do all too often. (use code HJILO for a $5 credit when you sign up!)

I LOVE how you paired these two patterns! It is done flawlessly. I want both of these pieces so I can do it myself 🙂

Thanks, Maggie! This was one of those times when I tried on a million things, then put this on, and it just made sense!
Love the these two patterns together and your totally right black & white is a great place to start! Great necklace too!
