It should come as no surprise that one of my favorite things is putting outfits together. Sometimes an outfit just comes together in my mind and I can’t wait to wear it. That’s what happened when I ordered this (faux) leather midi skirt…I knew it would look perfect with a cropped sweater! Would you believe that it’s under $25? I love when something looks expensive, but is super affordable. The same goes for this bag, which caught my eye on a recent trip to Zara. I’m usually hesitant to endure the lines there, but this bag was well worth it!
Although I try to capture outfits as I’m wearing them, sometimes I shoot a few outfits at once. They’re always things that I would wear, and it’s actually really nice when I have a day when I’m struggling, but honestly it’s easier to batch shoot. For this shoot, I had the opportunity to work with Lauren of Laurel Creative. We’ve worked together before, but it’s been far too long. She is incredibly creative, and always upbeat. I feel so comfortable with her, and I’m very grateful for that. The street we were on for this shoot in the West Village was an absolute dream. So much greenery, which can be rare in NYC, and the cutest homes! Hope this outfit inspires you to incorporate a little (faux) leather into your fall wardrobe.
