Lace Up Boots

Last week, I got a terrible cold that had me down for the count, so apologies for the unintentional hiatus! I’m back with my first layered fall look from last weekend. The weather has been perfect lately, cool with a light breeze and that crispness in the air that I love. That means it’s time to start layering and break out the boots! I’m really excited that lace up boots are back in style. I’ve had this pair for a few years, and although I usually gravitate towards black shoes, this dark brown goes perfectly with denim, navy and other neutrals.

Button-downs and sweaters are staples of my fall layering game, and I also love to add a light jacket when I know I’m going to be outside. We snapped these pics on a trip to the park with Bones. Our new apartment is SO much closer to the park with a dog run and it’s been awesome to take him there to play without it being an undertaking. He will definitely be super psyched when we move out to the suburbs and he has a lawn of his very own!
