We spent last weekend celebrating my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law’s wedding on Lake Michigan. It was so much fun to spend time with family and friends for such a happy occasion! I loved being out of the city and tried to enjoy every beautifully quiet moment. In and around wedding festivities, I managed to squeeze in some quality beach time, and even treated myself to a frozen cocktail one afternoon!
The night before the wedding, we had the rehearsal dinner at a restaurant on the resort grounds. From dinner, the “young people” headed to the beach for a bonfire where we listened to funny and embarrassing stories about the bride & groom and enjoyed s’mores and drinks along with a gorgeous sunset. To find something to wear that would transition from one event to the other was a bit of a challenge, but I figured I would rather be a little too dressed up for the bonfire than underdressed for dinner. I didn’t realize until I started putting this post together that the majority of this outfit is Kate Spade. I guess I have a little bit of an obsession…but, in true Sale Rack Style, I didn’t pay full price for any of it! I always keep an eye out for surprise sales, and I shop outlet stores and TJ Maxx/Marshalls to get my KS fix.
Sunnies: Kate Spade via Nordstrom Rack, Earrings: Kate Spade (also love these), Top: Target (similar), Skirt: Kate Spade (try this one with this belt), Bracelet: Kate Spade, Bag: Kate Spade (smaller version on sale), Sneakers: Keds
