I spent the past several days on Long Island, celebrating the Jewish New Year with my family. On Sunday night, I wore a simple black sheath dress with these super fun pointy-toe slingback flats from Ann Taylor:
Monday’s service was the longest of the holiday, so I wanted to wear something comfortable, but also appropriate and still chic. I mixed pattern and texture with an animal print belted blazer and a lace skirt. The blazer was great because it looks sophisticated and cute, but it’s made of soft cotton, so it’s not stiff like some more suit-like blazers. I was only able to get one picture, but hopefully you’ll get the idea.
Sunnies: Marc Jacobs via Rue La La (similar), Blazer: TJMaxx (similar), Skirt: ModCloth, Pumps: Sofft (similar)
Here’s a better look at the colors, pattern and texture of the two pieces. I wore a simple black cami under the blazer, and some black pumps. And, did you notice my shorter haircut?! More on that later.
