Holiday Plaid

I don’t celebrate Christmas, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love a little red and green this time of year! I call this pattern “holiday plaid,” and I love the touch of gold too. The fit of this dress is so perfect, and as you’ll be able to tell as you scroll down, it’s ideal for twirling! This is the third of three holiday outfit inspiration posts (one with party pants & the one with a statement top). As I’ve mentioned before, one of my favorite things about the holiday season is the excuse to go all out with outfits. Let this be your permission to try something you would be hesitant about the rest of the year. Embrace pattern (like holiday plaid!), and the more sparkle the better. If you’re still wary, try wearing something more understated with glitzier accessories, like my headband and earrings. Also, so grateful that Central Park held on to some beautiful Fall foliage for this shoot!

This weekend was a good one! We spent quality time with friends and crossed a bunch of things off our to-do list. I’m heading out of town tomorrow for work, so I was extra conscious about fitting a lot in. I’m gone through next weekend, so by the time I get back, we’ll be halfway through December. It’s crazy to think that a new decade is starting so soon! Hope your week is off to a great start!
