For months, I’ve wanted to host a brunch for the ladies in my life, and yesterday it finally happened! I’ll be sharing more about it later this week, but today’s post is a look at what I wore. When you’re the hostess, you’re on your feet a lot, refilling food trays and talking to different groups of people, so it’s important to wear something you can move in. I still wanted to wear something girly and fun, so I went with a green gingham midi skirt and a fun tie-shoulder tank. White was a risk, but I kept an apron on while I was still cooking. I love that this skirt is lightweight, and it has pockets, so aside from being super cute, it’s also practical. Bones was the only boy allowed at brunch and he was very excited to have so many of his favorite people in the same place. He also wanted to eat everyone’s food, so I was glad I was wearing something that allowed me to easily chase him around and pick him up! We went for a quick walk after most people left and snapped these pictures. It was really hot out, as you can tell from Bones’ tongue, but I guess that was Mother Nature’s way of saying Happy July!
