The problem with colorful patterned pieces is figuring out new ways to wear them. One of the best examples is the floral romper I wore to celebrate the blog’s second birthday a few months ago. The pattern is beautiful and vibrant, but it’s such a statement piece that it’s hard to re-wear too often. You really have to get creative to repurpose a romper, but that is a challenge I happily accepted when I realized that this romper shared a color palette with one of my favorite cotton skirts. Hello, pattern mixing!
Disclaimer: It was crazy windy when we took this photos and I have no idea what my hair is doing! The outtakes are pretty funny and involve my skirt billowing in the breeze!

Clashing prints is always a fun thing, and makes a statement – in a good way. Love this combination!
