On Saturday, the weather was gorgeous in NYC! We traveled across town to have brunch with our cousins who were in from out of town. The majority of my extended family lives in the Midwest, so I always love any opportunity we get to spend time together. My cousin Gaby, who has a style blog of her own, and I were both wearing chambray shirts. Great minds think alike!

I paired my chambray shirt with two recent sale finds. The purple bomber jacket was something I had been admiring for months, but at an original price of $98, I just couldn’t justify it. Lucky for me, when I decided to stop at Gap on a whim a couple of weeks ago, there it was, hanging next to the sale rack by itself. There were no others in the store, and it was my size. Fate! (Oh, and I only ended up paying $23!) I scooped up the pants last week at Banana Republic. I just love the bright floral pattern, and I couldn’t wait to wear them!

Also, you may notice my uncharacteristically bright lips: Lately, I’ve been inspired to be more daring with my lip color, so I was excited when Influenster sent me this shade of Rimmel London’s Moisture Renew lipstick to try out. It’s from the new Dazzling Duchess Collection, and I love how vibrant it turned out to be. My lips definitely felt moisturized, and the color lasted for hours. It’s under $10, so totally worth a try!
