One of the best ways to find out about great sales from your favorite brands is to sign up for the their emails. If you’re worried about clogging up your inbox, pick your top five and unsubscribe from everything else. (You can also use tools like Unroll.me that consolidate all of your subscriptions into a daily digest.) Often stores will announce sales early to their email subscribers, or share special deals. If you already shop at a certain place, why not make sure you’re the first to know about ways to save money?
When I got an email from Ann Taylor last week telling me that dresses were marked down to $59.95 for one day only, I knew I had to make a stop on my way home. Even though I tend to buy too much black and white, I loved the eyelet detail on this dress too much not to try it on. It fits like a glove and it’s so soft…a no brainer at less than half of the original price. To further define my waist I added a skinny black belt, plus a pop of color with a statement necklace. Since I spend the majority of my time at work, it’s really important to find things that I can wear for work or weekend, with espadrille wedges or a cute pair of sneakers. When I can find versatile pieces on sale, it’s even better!
