When I put this outfit on last weekend, my husband said “your dress matches your sneakers…is that on purpose?” I don’t know why he even asked, because of course it was! This is what I wore to spend the afternoon at POPSUGAR Play/Ground, an interactive festival with a focus on empowering women in all areas of their lives. I went with my friend Paige, and since we weren’t planning on participating in any of the fitness classes, I decided to wear a dress with sneakers. They obviously don’t have to match, but to me this combination is the perfect way to look casual and still put together!
The event was in a big warehouse/event space at Pier 92/94. We went to a panel of female thriller authors, heard from Jenna Lyons and Chrissy Teigen, and sampled tons of beauty and skincare products. I also tried on a few new pieces from the POPSUGAR for Kohl’s line, which I already love. Wendy’s was there with complimentary salads and lemonade, and we stopped by the Coolhaus truck for ice cream sandwiches too. After we were done, we walked over to the water to snap these pictures. It was a great day, and I’m so fortunate to live in NYC and have these opportunities!
