I’ve mentioned before that there’s a sample sale space in my office building. The sales are usually above my price range, but every once in a while, I find something that’s worth the money. This skirt is from a recent Milly sale, and I love the thick, forgiving fabric, and bold stripes. It worked well with a pastel cropped sweater for a full day of work and after work plans.
These photos were taken right before a particularly exciting meeting of my book club in Brooklyn. We read The Unknowns by Gabriel Roth (a really interesting book that I would definitely recommend), and we were honored to have Gabe himself join us at our meeting. Reading, for me, is an escape. I love to get wrapped up in a good story and it certainly makes my loud, crazy New York City commute much more pleasant. My favorite place to read is on the beach, and I’m a fan of fiction and historical fiction. If you’re a reader, I definitely recommend signing up for Goodreads. It’s a fantastic way to keep track of what you’ve read and what you want to read, and you can connect with friends to get recommendations. Right now, I’m reading The Girl on the Train, and it’s super intense. What’s on your list for summer?
